When Jesus called His first disciples—Peter, Andrew, James, and John—He made a life-altering request: “Come, follow me, and I will send you out to fish for people” (Matthew 4:19). Without hesitation, they left their nets, boats, and even their families to follow Him. This act of immediate obedience and sacrifice reveals a powerful truth: true discipleship requires sacrifice, and that sacrifice reflects God’s worthiness.
The disciples’ willingness to leave everything behind underscores that following Jesus isn’t just about belief—it’s about surrender. It’s about recognizing that He is worthy of our all.
Sacrifice Requires Trust in God
