Forgetting Your Pastor's Sermons

Do you remember what your pastor preached about yesterday? What was the sermon title? The main point? The main passage of Scripture? And most importantly, what is something that you plan to do this week as a result of it?Unfortunately, many Christians attend church, listen to a sermon (or perhaps two sermons and a Sunday School lesson!), but plunge into Monday with no effort to retain anything from the preaching, and what's more, with no plans to change anything about their life a result.James 1:25 promises that whoever is “not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.”If you desire a happy, joy-filled week, be sure to remember what your pastor preached about on Sunday and do something about it. Have a conversation, change a habit, add a prayer request, engage in some ministry or do something that is a specific response to the Word of God that you heard.
