Faith Baptist Church Values

Faith Baptist Church desires to demonstrate our love for God in the Queens Borough, leading people of all ages to become joyful followers of Jesus. To that end, we embrace the following biblical values as guiding principles for all that we do. Though we do not reflect these values perfectly, we depend upon God to continue the work that he has begun, uniting us together and building us up to the glory of Jesus Christ.

A Daily Walk with God

God desires a close, intimate relationship with his children. Therefore, we are committed to spending daily, quality time with him in prayer and Bible study, depending on him in the decisions and difficulties of life.

Wholehearted Worship

God is sovereign and demands supreme reverence. Therefore, we are committed to gathering together for prayer and praise, on the Lord's Day, and at other times, to give him our undivided attention.

Expository Preaching and Bible Study

God has revealed himself and his will to us in Scripture. Therefore, we are committed to preaching, teaching, and Bible study that reads, explains and applies the Bible in a responsible, Spirit-filled way.

Mentoring One Another

God calls us to make disciples. Therefore, we are committed to building friendships and families that teach, encourage and provide one another with personal accountability to grow in our obedience to God.

Wise Stewardship

God entrusts us with finances, time, and material resources. Therefore, we are committed to managing these resources in a conscientious, selfless way that advances the will of God in our homes, our church, our community, and our world.

Serving One Another

God delights in meeting the needs of people. Therefore, we are committed to meeting the material, emotional, and spiritual needs of one another as brothers and sisters in Christ, and of those whom we hope to reach with the gospel.

Faithful Gospel Outreach

God commands us to proclaim the good news of salvation in Christ. Therefore, we are committed to compassionate evangelism, without discrimination, through our lives, to our community and to the world.
